Michele Decker is a Professor of Nursing at Central Oregon Community College where she teaches in an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program. She serves as a faculty leader in outcome-based curriculum development across her campus. Reaching out to colleagues and supporting them in their curriculum work is very important to Michele. She believes that faculty level leadership, and a faculty level perspective, is key to sustaining outcomes and assessment practices across all colleges.
Nation-wide, nurse educators have been the early adopters of outcome-based,concept-focused learning and quality assessment, and are providing support to other disciplines. It’s Michele’s intent to continue this leadership through consulting and writing. Michele lives and works in Bend, Oregon.
